The NM Child Advocacy Network is a centralized, non direct service organization that provides support for the local CASA programs around New Mexico. CASA volunteers are trained community volunteers that act as advocates to abused and neglected children. Local CASA programs work at the will of the court to serve as additional eyes and ears for the court and to prompt the system to do its job.
NMCAN is a member of the National CASA Association, and provides a unified voice for 15 local CASA programs in 29 communities across New Mexico. Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers stand up for children and youth experiencing the foster care system, providing expert reporting back to the courts.625 Silver Ave. SW, Suite 345
