GiveABQ is a 22,000 square foot facility that will manage both in-kind donations and tangible gifts from individuals or businesses like office furniture, dishes, bedding, household items, and more. GiveABQ helps nonprofits by sharing resources like drivers, volunteers, and trucks, to lessen the work of handling donations.GiveABQ will be a place where nonprofits can turn for office furniture, conference tables, office desks, chairs, and storage closets, etc.
GiveABQ will also be a place that offers a one-stop solution to nonprofit case managers seeking resources for their clients who need assistive devices and/or household items or furnishings. Clients of partnering agencies will be able to send their clients to GiveABQ to get what they need so they can get settled. GiveABQ will also be the home of Back In Use. Back In Use, receives donations of durable medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, hospital beds, electric wheelchairs, etc.) and distributes them FOR FREE to anyone in need, lowering health care costs for individuals and the health care system.
