Family Activity Center
Amigos Y Amigas/

Family Activity Center

The Family Activity Center is dedicated to providing safe and self esteem building activities at no cost to the participants. We offer a wholistic approach to participants, focusing on the whole family unit. Services include an enhanced computer lab with a digital games library, web/app development workshops, and access to updated computers. We provide general exercise, a kitchen for cooking and baking classes, as well as, music classrooms and recording studio for music lessons.

We want participants to thrive within the Family Activity Center by feeling safe. Our purpose is to be available, as an Family Activity Center, for any family in need. We strive to offer services based on families sharing their needs and wants with us. Currently, we provide a model of family engagement focused on navigating life skills coupled with providing specific interventions based on individuals needs. We are passionate about opportunities for families to experience engagement, empowerment, and above all, safety.

Our computer lab is for all ages! It is open Mondays from 6PM to 7PM! We have open computers for the public, free of charge, and we can support with educational and career assistance such as, GED registration, job searching, resume and cover letter workshops, as well as, having fun with computer gaming, website development, app workshops, and even game/music development! Philip Casady, our Lead Social Specialist is the computer lab technician and LMSW on staff. Feel free to give AYA a call to chat with him about our services!
