Almas de Amistad
Amity Foundation/

Almas de Amistad

Almas provides gender-responsive and trauma-informed services which help women achieve sobriety, stability, and regain and retain custody of their children. Almas’ strength-based, family focused programs include weekly group sessions and classes designed to address underlying issues that contribute to substance abuse and HIV risk behavior. The Almas community provides a safe environment where women become agents in their own change process; identifying and resolving sensitive issues, modifying their behavior, and developing authentic friendships in a supportive environment. Almas provides groups using Extensions Curriculum; an evidence-based curriculum designed for Therapeutic Community settings. Almas provides a holistic approach to treatment and offers an extensive array of groups, classes, and resources designed to meet the unique needs of women, and promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual healing.
