Amy Biehl High School transforms young people from all walks of life into civic-minded, college-bound, and career-ready scholars. Despite facing many barriers to college - 52% economically disadvantaged, 33% first generation college-bound, and 24% special needs - Amy Biehl High School (ABHS) students are succeeding. 98% of ABHS graduates enroll directly into college, 86% persist in or graduate from college, and over half continue to volunteer in their local community. This success is accomplished through a braided system of supports and a focus on civic engagement and college preparedness. All students participate in All School Service Days where the entire school community spends one afternoon each month volunteering with local non-profits. These years of civic engagement culminate in a 100-hour service learning project in the senior year. Additionally, all ABHS graduates will take and pass a minimum of two dual-enrollment college courses, helping to ease the tranisition from high school to college.
Amy Biehl High School was founded in the spirit of Amy Biehl, a young scholar dedicated to social justice and service. We graduate diverse learners and leaders who demonstrate intellectual, social, and ethical habits to improve their communities. Our graduates are civic-minded, college-bound, and career-ready.
