Non-Emergency Air Transportion

Angel Flight West provides non-emergency transportation for people who need medical treatment at no cost to the patient. We serve the 13 western states including New Mexico, and can often coordinate transportation to other regions as well. Our flights are conducted in small, private aircraft and typically are between 100 and 1,000 miles.

Some of the reasons our passenger fly with us:

• Second opinions from a specialist
• Diagnosis or treatment of a rare condition
• Specialized surgery
• Family members traveling to care for a loved one
• Domestic violence relocation
• People who are unable to use public transportation due to a compromised immune system

Some restrictions for our program:

• Patients must be able to walk on their own and sit up for the duration of the flight
• We require a medical release from the patient's physician indicating that he or she is able to fly safely
• We require five business days notice to schedule the flight
• We can often accommodate a companion or two depending on the needs of the passenger
• Ground transportation is available in some areas
