¡Globalquerque!

¡Globalquerque! in an annual festival of world music and culture whose goal is cross-cultural understanding through performance, educational outreach, film and all manner of cultural interactivities.  Through these methods, ¡Globalquerque! strives to engage festival attendees with a myriad of world cultures, recognizing our similarities while we celebrate our differences, bringing the world closer together through exploration, building bridges in an age of walls. 

¡Globalquerque! mixes moderately-priced ticketed event with plethora of free programming. Ticketed event offers world-class music on three stages spanning two nights, by seventeen global touring groups.¡Globalquerque!'s free programming includes School Global Mini-Festival featuring two visiting groups presenting age-appropriate interactive presentations for 100's of children; Global Fiesta Community Day Saturday including family- and educational-focused activities (Music/Cultural workshops with visiting evening artists, Street Performance, International Dance Classes, Film and other presentations and interactivities; Free International Cinema Series runs throughout September presenting 6 international films from documentary to drama to comedy, all with cultural significance. ¡Globalquerque! also often partners with other likeminded organizations to present programming around the state.

Avokado Artists

Avokado Artists is a 360° arts organization dedicated to cross-cultural understanding through art and the cultivation, promotion, presentation and preservation of culturally significant artists and their work from around the globe.  The organization was founded in 2004, and was granted 501(c)3 status in 2009. We represent artists in the fields of music, visual arts and writing. Avokado Artists mission is to spread the work of these artists to the broadest possible audience through myriad mediums including performance, educational workshops, presentations and outreach, publications, video, photography, printed publications including books, electronic media and various contextual materials as well as recordings and distribution.  Avokado Artists also co-Directs/Produces/Curates the annual ¡Globalquerque! New Mexico's Celebration of World Music & Culture in September, and curates the annual Festival Eclectica in Angel Fire, NM.
