BEST is a ten (10) hour pre-employment skills training designed to help participants acquire the skills necessary to seek and maintain employment. The training covers communication skills, anger management, child labor laws, safety in the workplace, substance abuse education, mental health education, sexual harassment in the workplace, money management, application practice, resume development, introduction into computers, career lifestyle assessment, job search, and mock interviews. The training is held weekly from 3-5 pm. Upon completion of the training, participants receive a certificate endorsed by the Career Education Services Center.
