After School Program

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico offer excellent after school programs led by professionally trained employees who will give your kids the skills they need to excel in school and in life.  In addition to receiving help with their homework, kids will enjoy featured programs including: STEM based programming that will help kids excel in school and prepare them for their future careers; empowering programs that enable kids to make a difference in both their Club and community while learning to respect their own and others’ cultural identities, develop a positive self-image and make life long friends along the way; Health & Life Skills programs; and the Arts (visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing programs).

There is an annual membership fee for ages 5-18, plus an after school fee for children 5-12 (varies by location). Grant funding allows middle and high school programs to be free to attend. Families with elementary-age children who may qualify for free through CYFD and can contact us for help or more information.  A limited number of other scholarships are available to those families who are in need.

A list of current programs are listed at our website, with plans for more in the future!

Transportation to the Schumann Branch club after school is available from some elementary and middle schools in Rio Rancho. Reach out for more information.

Parent Organization
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico is to inspire and enable youth between the ages of 5 and 18, especially those who need our programs and services the most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens.

The Club addresses the issue that most children do not have a safe, educational, and supportive place to go after school.
