We provide appropriate housing and emotional support for patients and their families who reside temporarily in Albuquerque while the patient receives serious medical treatment. Casa Esperanza’s families come to us from all backgrounds and income levels, but they share one thing in common – each family is facing fear and emotional upheaval.
We have 28 guest rooms with private baths, kitchen and laundry facilities, playroom and playground, televisions, computer and Wi-Fi, and quiet spaces for our families. We offer assistance with food and transportation if needed. We provide onsite counseling and support services for our families. When a serious medical diagnosis occurs, families can stay with us while receiving treatment for the patient at Albuquerque area hospitals and clinics.
Our families have a diagnosis of cancer, kidney disease, high-risk pregnancy and/or need extended neonatal care for premies or babies and other serious medical illnesses. We are here to help.
A Home Away from Home is for families with serious medical needs receiving treatment in Albuquerque. Families stay with us while receiving medical treatment or while a love-one is in hospital. We provide assistance with food and transportation, and counseling services. We work with all medical providers, clinics and hospitals.
Casa Esperanza is New Mexico’s House of Hope providing a “home away from home” for families requiring treatment for cancer, kidney transplant, high-risk pregnancy and other serious health illnesses. We also support patient families and caregivers.
