Casa Milagro is a 12-member therapeutic community of artists with co-occurring mental illnesses. We are situated in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with beautiful views and fabulous gardens. Casa Milagro is limited to adults who qualify for SSI or SSDI and who meet HUD guidelines. We work together on a xeriscaped garden, build compost, and have cherished relationships with our companion animals. As literary artists, visual artists, intellectuals, and craftspeople, expression is central to our ways of life.
Daily life at Casa Milagro involves playing with and caring for companion animals, gardening, creating multimedia art projects, attending college courses, meeting with counselors, cooking house meals, meditating, taking yoga classes, and hanging out with Casa Milagro community members.
