Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Center for Civic Policy (CCP), a nonpartisan tax-exempt 501c3 organization, strives to involve everyday New Mexicans in the public policy decisions that affect their lives with the goal of achieving positive and lasting change - the kind of change that strengthens the safety and security of New Mexico families.
To achieve this end, we compile cutting edge data and research with which to educate New Mexicans about vital issues - including but not limited to ethics and campaign finance reform, health care, tax and budget priorities, economic security, corporate accountability and the environment. In this way, we work to foster a broader, more inclusive, public discourse about the challenges facing our state's diverse communities as well as our nation as a whole.
In collaboration with local and national partners, we work to increase voter participation and turnout; we identify and train new leaders for civic life.
The Center for Civic Policy is nationally recognized as an innovator in the civic engagement sector with a proven track record of developing effective strategies for connecting underrepresented communities to the public policy process and thereby leverage change.
