Community Service Corps (CSC) focuses on providing wraparound services to at-risk populations and their families, especially persons exiting incarceration with behavioral disorders and/or mental illness, victims of severe brain injuries and the homeless. CSC serves as a catalyst for outreach, assistance and coordinating collaborative community-based services that bridge the gap between agenies in the criminal justice system (municipal, state and federal) and behavioral health providers. The organization strives to avoid traumatic, unwarranted and socially expensive incarceration of the at-risk individuals and recidivism. This entails working with law enforcement, courts, families, caregivers and service providers to help stabilize clients and offer stop-gap support to access clinical and social services, to provide alternatives to incarceration and to navigate and provide liaison servies with the justice system 24/7.
