Desert View Family Counseling Services

Desert View Family Counseling is a nonprofit organization that offers accessible, responsive and comprehensive mental health services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other trauma, including co-occurring disorders. We offer mental health assessments and substance abuse assessments. We also provide services for "At Risk"Youth who have behavioral, academic and family issues. Lastly, we work with sexually re-active youth (juvenile sex offenders) from the ages of 4-17. Desert View provides 24-7 Crisis Response Services.Parent Classes, several adolescent classes including Boy's life skills, Girl's life skills, Anger Management and Substance Abuse, and a Woman' Survivor of Trauma Class. We provide Emergency Funds to Victims of Crime and we host an annual two day conference for other providers and community members who need continuing education units.

Desert View Family Counseling has the vision to provide appropriate, compassionate, and client-centered care to individuals suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, schizophrenia disorders, eating disorders self harming behavior to name a few.

We take a multi-disciplinary approach to treating trauma, including sexual assault and other forms of trauma. We believe that it is necessary to address all problems affecting the patient.

We work closely with patients and their families to create a personalized treatment plan. Every treatment utilizes intervention techniques and tools to help our patients live productive, fulfilling lives.

All of Desert View Family Counseling’s clinicians have master degrees. Our staff is closely supervised to ensure they provide the necessary level of care. We make sure that our staff members comply with all applicable federal and state codes, standards, and regulations. This also includes HIPAA confidentiality laws. Our clinicians take our patients’ privacy very seriously. They all have the necessary licenses to offer services in the State of New Mexico.

Many of our patients are referred by community resources, law enforcement, and judicial courts. These cases are treated very sensitively and Desert View Family Counseling does everything possible to guarantee their confidentiality.
