Provides service assessment, support services, counseling, education and training, life and social skills development, crisis intervention, legal services. Services include: women's & children's support groups, individual counseling, creating safety plans, legal advocacy, filing restraining orders, court accompaniment, case management, hospital advocacy, crime scene response with law enforcement. Staff work with APD on a daily basis. Advocacy Services Unit is on the 2nd floor, in the Albuquerque Family Advocacy Center. Legal and counseling services are on the 1st floor.
To empower victims to become survivors and thrivers by ending the cycle of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking permanently by intervening where abuse occurs, advocating and providing resources for protection and safety, restoring self esteem and strengthening the human spirit.
