Esperanza Preschool is a part of Farmington Municipal Schools. Their goal is to provide early intervention services to children, ages 3 - 5, who are developmentally disabled. Developmentally means a child has a significant delay in one or more of the developmental areas such as motor, social, speech and language, intellect, and health. Children are screened; if appropriate, a full evaluation is requested. If a child qualifies as delayed developmentally a eligibility determination team meets to determine educational needs. A continuum of services is available and the team writes an Individual Education Plan to address goals, objectives, and time lines. Services are provided at no cost.
