Otero County Hospital Association d/b/a Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center (GCRMC) provides comprehensive healthcare services through its 99-bed hospital, outpatient ambulatory care facilities, and a multi-specialty physician group. GCRMC accounts for more than 80% of hospital admissions in its Otero County primary service area. The GCRMC's primary market is the city of Alamogordo with secondary markets expanding to Tularosa, Holloman Air Force Base and Lincoln County. The original facility opened in August 1949 and the current medical center is a state of the art, acute care facility. With the assistance of the TSFA Grant funding, GCRMC is able to continue to give the most current and up to date trauma care available. We hold injury prevention at a high priority and have increased injury prevention awareness to our community's youth through attending health fairs, distributing prevention literature
