Girls Who Code Clubs are FREE after-school programs for girls in grades 3-5 or 6-12 to use computer science to impact their community and join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. Clubs can be hosted in schools, universities, libraries, community centers, faith-based organizations, or nonprofits. For reference, below are a few documents with program details. For more information on starting a Girls Who Code Club, visit our website: girlswhocode.com. (The best time to apply to start a club is before the school year starts. This is to ensure you are fully prepared before the actual launch date!). To find out if there is already a Girls Who Code Club in your area, visit https://girlswhocode.com/locations/, answer "I am a:" and enter your address or your city/town, and you will find any clubs in your vicinity.
Girls Who Code is the international nonprofit working to close the gender gap in technology. We work with educators, librarians, community leaders and nonprofit professonals to launch FREE Girls Who Code Clubs. So far we have reached over 185,000 girls in all 50 states and several US territories. We are also launching internationally starting 2019-2020 to the UK, India and Canada.
