Provides help to homeless individuals and families, including facilities to bathe, meals and clothing. Emergency overnight shelter. (Separate men's, women, and family areas). Meals: Breakfast, lunch & supper -7 days a week. Pantry: Food boxes for those in need when food is available.). Bible Study: 8:00 a.m. Mon.-Sat. Chapel Services every night at 7:00 p.m. at the Rescue Mission's Chapel, 1050 W. Amador (city bus 80). Chapel services are provided voluntarily by local area churches. Food for residents' meals provided by Roadrunner Food Bank.
The Gospel Rescue Mission provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless, poor, and needy through the provision of basic physical needs (i.e. food, shelter, clothing, and hygiene), outreach, job training and life skills and to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order to assist those in whom we minister in building a spiritual foundation, and ability to become productive citizens without regard to race, color, creed, gender, national origin or disability.
