We have been asked by the Dollywood Foundation to help expand this program to include all preschool children in New Mexico. To that end we are now the 501c3 fiscal agent for Imagination Library programs in Curry, Harding, Hidalgo, and Luna counties as well as the Glenwood area of Catron County. We are seeking, not only funding, but interested parties in all other New Mexico counties to bring this program to their preschool children as well. The primary task of affiliates is to register children to receive these free books and to raise the money locally to pay for the books and their mailing costs. The cost of the books is approximately $2.10 each delivered to the child's home. Please visit our website for more details.
Our mission is to deliver free books monthly to the homes of preschool children, thereby promoting experiences with language and reading and establishing the basis for future learning success and to promote and expand Dolly Parton's Imagination Library throughout the state of New Mexico.
