Broadcasting from the Santa Fe Community college (SFCC), KSFR serves northern New Mexico and offers community led public programming with a variety mix of talk, music, public affairs and news programs. Eighty percent of our programming is delivered by volunteer show hosts of all ages. Other programs include BBC news, Democracy Now and various syndicated programs. KSFR is licensed to Santa Fe Community College and managed by the Northern New Mexico Radio Foundation (NNMRF).
KSFR's studio facilities are supported by SFCC. All other operational support including salaries, benefits and taxes are raised by KSFR and the NNMRF.
KSFR partners with community organizations, civic groups and local government(s) to raise awareness of issues of interest. Some organizations and areas include airing live Santa Fe City Council meetings monthly in their entirety, producing a weekly oftentimes bi-lingual program titled, Nuestra America which addresses Latino immigration issues, KSFR provides support to Santa Fe Community Foundation by engineering and airing a program they produce to bring together a roundtable of other area organizations to discuss initiatives and solutions of concern. Other collaborative groups include Searchlight NM, CAVU, Institute for American Indian Arts, Santa Fe Council on International Relations.
