FIREROCK is a heartfelt, surprising approach to climate change that can engage lots and lots of people. It energizes a movement for a just and sustainable world through a scaleable mythical, upbeat musical fable and a grassroots engagement process for creative local action. We decided to do what humans always do- tell a story and sing some songs.
FIREROCK can be done anywhere: theaters, living rooms, schools, parks and churches. It’s not just about songs and stories, it’s also giving people tools and ways 0f connecting to each other. Ultimately FIREROCK shifts who we think we are and what we think we can do. The story of FIREROCK takes people to the heart of the paradox, benefits and consequences of our fossil fuel based society and asks us to imagine and build practices for our common future. Through FIREROCK, diverse audiences become participants in re-imagining our extractive and transactional culture—with courage, connection, imagination, heart and wisdom.
