Every year, 66,000 children will be treated by UNM Children’s Hospital. The funds raised by LoboTHON each year support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission of fostering hope, health and happiness, “For The Kids”, so no child fights alone. The purpose of LoboTHON is to raise not only money but also awareness for the UNM Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
We lead fundraising opportunities throughout the year and end with a 13.1 hour dance marathon on March 3rd in honor of the miracle children at UNM CMNH. It is a time for the families to celebrate the lives of their children and for the children to have a day without thinking about appointments or treatments. Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a movement benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for more than 170 pediatric hospitals across North America.
LoboTHON is The University of New Mexico’s largest student-run philanthropy, working to raise money year round for the kids at The University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital. LoboTHON unifies students in the pursuit of giving every child a chance to be a Lobo.
