Joy in Learning® has been Manzano Day School’s tradition since 1938, providing the opportunity for children to receive an exceptional educational foundation, and prepare students for a future of lifelong learning and endless possibilities. Today, the campus incorporates modern architecture and facilities in the same way the curriculum balances traditional education and innovative learning.
A team of dedicated faculty is at the heart of the school community, understanding the importance of setting high expectations within a nurturing and safe environment. The curriculum is designed to educate the “whole child” and addresses individual needs and learning styles. Six co-curricular classes (art, library, music, physical education, Spanish and technology) along with the core classes are part of every student’s schedule from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Additionally, their 21st century curriculum gives students essential tools to meet the challenges of the future.
Joy in Learning® is an integral part of the Manzano Day School culture along with the core values of respect, responsibility, integrity and striving for excellence. The outdoor environmental education program at Fenton Ranch gives every child the opportunity to explore the natural world, while developing self-reliance and independence. The grade level service learning projects teach students to give back.
Manzano Day School is dedicated to innovative child-centered education, excellence in teaching, and Joy in Learning® to prepare children for a life of discovery and community involvement in our diverse world.
