Project Carino is a 34 year old program providing mental health counseling and programs to McCurdy Charter School students and their families as well as McCurdy Ministries Community Center's preschool and after school programs. Project Carino provides individual and family therapy, support groups, Big/Little Buddy Program, anti-bullying, grief and anxiety support groups and Celebrate Survival for students who have experienced a death in their immediate family. Our counselors supervise interns, consult with teachers and administrators, do crisis intervention services and provide mental health classroom presentations.
McCurdy Ministries Community Center's mission is to help students and their families in the Espanola Valley succeed in school and in life. We offer educational support services to the students of McCurdy Charter School and their families, including free mental health counseling, adult education with childcare, after school, pre-k and preschool programs, and a summer camp offering STEM education.
