Meals on Wheels is for homebound seniors who are 60+ years of age and unable to shop or prepare their own meals. Volunteers give of their time to deliver lunch meals using their own vehicles, and we try and have them drive the same route, visiting the same senior, the same day of the week each time and check on the well-being of every senior during their delivery. All concerns are reported to the senior center coordinator. Meals are not left if no one is home to answer the door. Service will not be reinstated until the client calls the office to resume delivery.
If you qualify for Home Delivered Meals any contribution is 100% voluntary. If you choose to contribute $3.00 is the suggested amount, or whatever you can afford is appreciated. Volunteers drop off contribution envelopes each month.
