The local CAP office offers a variety of services for seniors, families and individuals with disabilities and low-income clients. Based on the availability of funding, we offer food boxes (at all sites except for Gallup), commodities, utility assistance for low-income, including propane and wood, Good Neighbor Fund, HEAT NM, LIHEAP, and other programs designed to address emergency needs. Note that the Socorro office also serves Catron County residents with CSBG programs.
We also administer Head Start programs in midwest NM.
Midwest New Mexico Community Action Program (MWNMCAP) is committed to providing services to help empower and improve the lives of low income individuals and families residing within Valencia, Socorro, McKinley, Cibola and Catron Counties.
