From that deep inner life comes a life of hospitality to all who come to the Monastery. We provide some rooms for overnight guests who wish to share deeply in our life. The purpose is not to convert or change our guests, but simply to reflect the divine love that is given to us. From this freedom much change comes. Our goal is to make the spiritual life so attractive by our way of living that others will want to live a more spiritual life. Our personal purposes are to serve God and all His people and His creation with total dedication in this way of life. Many who have no faith or belief also come to our Monastery. Our purpose and goal for them is simply to provide a place of deep silence by which they can come to know themselves better and be refreshed to return to their normal lives with more energy. Regarding the personnel question on this form: we have 3 people we employ in various part time capacities. The rest of our work is done by the monks, and by additional volunteers.
In order to fulfill the purpose of this men's Benedictine Monastery to provide an environment in which all people can seek God and pursue the deepest and best human values, the monks live a life of prayer and sacrifice, expressed in a life of hospitality for all who come to the Monastery.
