The New Mexico Association of Student Councils is seeking funding to provide studnet leaders the opportunity to create a national-stage conference for student (middle level and high school) and adult leaders to SHARE their leadership VALUES and INSIGHT through the OPPORTUNITY to establish NETWORKING while involved in INSPIRATIONAL leadership training at the 2020 VIsion Conference to be held at Centennial HS, Las Cruces, NM June 18-21, 2020. Our hope is to scholarship registration for at least 100 student leaders and their school advisors from NMASC schools to attend.
The VIsion Conference is a boutique conference, designed by students for students and their adult advisors; led by students; with a a blend of the best elements from state conference and summer workshop; dynamic national speakers; outstanding local talent; sharing the best of New Mexico's cultural diversity and traditions with student leaders from Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arizona, and many other states.

Established in 1950, the New Mexico Association of Student Councils was founded by a group of educators who wanted to create an organization for student leaders that would encourage them to practice the democratic process, citizenship and service while fostering an exchange of ideas and problem solving strategies in New Mexico's schools.
Today, 70 years later, we have become the premier student leadership organization in New Mexico. Each year we serve thousands of students and advisors from member schools all across the state. Our organization is recognized by the National Association of State Executive Directors and National Student Council, and we offer leadership training experiences for our members throughout the year. Our governing body is the NMASC Executive Board, elected by member schools, and consists of an Executive Director, four adult board members, and four student officers.
