The New Mexico Direct Caregivers Coalition was created to enhance and promote family and professional direct care workers, supporting their professional development and advancing issues of importance to the field of long-term and direct care. Provides:monthly meetings with speakers who provide information to help the caregiver both on and off the job; support groups that offer a chance for ongoing emotional support; talk with your fellow caregivers and a counselor on issues that impact your lives and work; advocacy for your rights and benefits at the State and Federal levels; annual summit to spend a day with other caregivers and attend seminars on topics that are important to you and your career; training to learn new skills and refresh your knowledge; access to information on low-cost classes and a pathway to career advancement.
The New Mexico Caregivers Coalition is a statewide 501(c)6 organization created to promote the voice of family and professional caregivers and those they serve. We develop and deliver training to caregivers. We also advocate for caregivers' education, wages and beenfits and professional development.
