The New Mexico Center for Nursing Excellence (NMCNE) is proud to be a co-lead, along with the Bank of Albuquerque, of the New Mexico Action Coalition. As a part of the national Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, the New Mexico Action Coalition is a statewide partnership of nurses, state government agencies, local business, and consumer stakeholders that are committed to improve health and promote health equity by convening and facilitating discussion that bridges statewide efforts that will cultivate the overall health of for New Mexicans. The NMAC is composed of over 75 members representing 30 organizations.
The NM Action Coalition’s four primary focus areas are:
• Promoting healthy living and health careers for children and youth.
• Organizing and evolving community health opportunities.
• Advancing resources to address the social determinants of health and physiological needs.
• Developing nurse management/leadership trainings that will prepare nurses for leadership roles
both in their organizations and in their communities.
Our Mission: The New Mexico Center for Nursing Excellence convenes and facilitates dialogue and action that results in excellence in nursing education, practice and work environment.
