NMCDHH provides programs and services to over 250,000 people in New Mexico who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing and late-deafened and their families, friends, agencies and organizations. Purpose, Mission and Vision State of New Mexico Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NMCDHH) was established by the New Mexico Legislature (NMSA 1978 28-1 1b 1&2) to promote services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind persons through out state of New Mexico. The State of New Mexico Commission for Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing Persons provides effective leadership, education, advocacy and programs to reduce barriers to the social, economic, cultural and intellectual well-being of Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind New Mexicans, their families, friends, and colleagues.
