Diabetes education, outreach, and advocacy. The NMDAC holds three to four educational trainings each year. These trainings focus on diabetes-related topics and typically average between 100 and 130 physicians, nurses, dieticians, podiatrists, optometrists, promotores, community health representatives, health educators, program administrators, and students. Continuing education credits are offered at the end of each session
The mission of the NMDAC is to promote health practices, policies, and systems that support the quality and accessibility of diabetes prevention and care in New Mexico.
