The New Mexico Heart Institute Foundation (NMHIF) is dedicated to enhancing the cardiovascular health of all New Mexicans through education, cardiovascular health promotion and research. Project Heart Start was established to help increase the survival rate of Sudden Cardiac Arrest by teaching high-quality compression-only CPR, use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), how to save a choking victim, and how to recognize the signs of a heart Attack then take immediate action.
