New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light (NMIPL) is one of forty state affiliates of the national non-profit Interfaith Power & Light. NMIPL works with people of all faith traditions and faith communities and their houses of worship.as a relgious voice for climate justice. NMIPL has approximately 70 covenanted faith community members and some 325 faith communities that access some of NMIPL's services. Faith traditions include Jewish, Buddhist, Bahai, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Quaker, Unitarian, Evangelical, Mennonite, and Sikh. NMIPL assists its member and partner congregations with educational resources, tools for improving energy efficiency and solar, and opportunities for public policy advocacy.
NMIPL is currently working to establish faith outreach volunteers throughout the state of New Mexico. We currently have faith organizing volunteers in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Taos, Gallup, Farmington and Carlsbad.
