New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST)/

Parent Organization
New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST)

The New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST) was established in 2004 and brings together educators, out-of-school time (OST) providers, youth development workers, businesses, and other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through OST programs (predominantly after school and summer learning).

NMOST’s vision is that all children and youth in NM will have equitable access to quality afterschool and summer learning regardless of zip code and income.

Our mission is to support a statewide system to ensure OST programs are of high quality and that every child can name one caring adult. To ensure a viable and sustained network structure in the state, NMOST established a leadership council with diverse members from across the state whose role it is to guide the implementation of a statewide strategic plan focused on OST program quality, public awareness of the benefits of a quality OST experience, advocacy and policy development, professional development, linked learning strategies, and partnership development to increase the network base.
