New Mexico Pets Alive/PawCORE promotes and provides the education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of healthy and treatable pets entering New Mexico's animal intake facilities while providing job training for unemployed veterans and other unemployed.
Unemployment in NM also negativily impacts our pets. Our job training program covers the areas of Administration/Marketing/Management/Facility Operations, Fundraising/Business Income Development, Animal Care/Disease Prevention/Basic Medical/Nutrition, Dog Handling/Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Dog Training and Canine Behavioral Health, Community Services - Program Development and Delivery and Pet Adoptions.
We deliver second chances to New Mexico shelter pups and dogs in need and help prevent other pups and dogs from entering the NM shelter system all while working to help more people. We hope to have the resources to relaunch our lifesaving cat programs in the near future.
