Performances and Arts Education for Families

  • 10-12 Season Performances of national touring artists in music, theatre, dance and family entertainment
  • 15-20 Youth Performances for 2,500 youth in Socorro, Magdalena and Alamo-Navajo School Districts
  • 5 Free Performances of chamber music
  • Dance Residencies with the National Dance Institute of NM in Socorro and Magdalena; NMTPAS serves as producer on behalf of these districts.
  • Summer Theatre Residency with Missoula Children's Theater.
  • Free Annual Outreach Events:  
    • Community Arts Party, first Saturday in February - ~40 hands-on arts workshops for all ages
    • Fourth of July Celebration, on July 4th - NM music, family entertainment, nonprofit vendors and spectacular fireworks display.

The New Mexico Tech Performing Arts Series presents a variety of quality, multicultural and affordable performances, arts education and outreach activites, in music, theatre, dance and family entertainment, for the diverse community of Socorro and central New Mexico.  NMTPAS seeks to strengthen the local community, improve the quality of life, and support economic development in the region.
