Children's Medical Services - Northwest Region

Children's Medical Services (CMS) program provides services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disabling conditions in children. It is a state-wide program within the Department of Health, Public Health Division. CMS serves children from birth to 21 years of age with chronic illnesses or medical conditions that require surgical or medical treatment that could limit their activity. Children/youth are medically eligible based on a diagnosis from a doctor.

NM DOH Children's Medical Services

Children’s Medical Services is part of the Family Health Bureau in the Public Health Division of the Department of Health. The program creates a system of care that is family centered, community-based, culturally competent and coordinated. Children’s Medical Services is comprised of several programs, including the Newborn Metabolic Screening Program, the Newborn Hearing Screening Program, and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN).
