Wildlife West Nature Park Children's Educational Program

Established in 1994, Wildlife West is a 122-acre wildlife refuge/zoo open to the public year round. It is home to 20 species of rescued, non-releasable native wildlife: black bear, cougars, pronghorn, grey foxes, crested caracaras and more. Visitors get a rare opportunity to get close to wildlife in a simulation of their habitat in the wild. We received “Best of the City 2018” from ABQ The Magazine for best place to be one with nature.

We are a multi-faceted organization, sponsoring Chuckwagon dinners, barn dances, Old-fashion hay rides, junior zookeeper day camps for kids and festivals.
