Provides residential reentry treatment services designed to reduce recidivism. Programs and services currently offered at the New Mexico Women’s Recovery Academy include individual risk/needs assessments, substance abuse programming, individual & group counseling, RDAP curriculum, family services/parenting skills, 12-Step meetings, anger management classes, educational/HSD/WorkKeys services, seeking safety groups, and domestic violence classes.
NMWRA is a GEO residential reentry center that focuses on peer-led education. The center functions as a modified therapeutic community and provides a highly structured environment for female residents referred by the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
