Community health councils plan and coordinate community-level responses to pressing health issues.
The Otero County Community Health Council (OCCHC) and Behavioral Health LC12 meet together on the first Tuesday of every month. All are welcome.
Meetings usually include a health-relevant presentation, short business meeting, and round table sharing. The emphasis is on well-being, awareness, community health, mental health, and collaboration. OCCHC has three focus areas, addressed within the following committees and monthly happenings:
