Community health councils plan and coordinate community-level responses to pressing health issues.
The Otero County Community Health Council (OCCHC) and Behavioral Health LC12 meet together on the first Tuesday of every month. All are welcome.
Meetings usually include a health-relevant presentation, short business meeting, and round table sharing. The emphasis is on well-being, awareness, community health, mental health, and collaboration. Contact OCCHC.coordinator@gmail.com for the next meeting date and the link.
The mission of the Otero County Community Health Council is to assess, promote, and enhance the health and wellbeing of county residents by encouraging broad-based community involvement.
