In operation since 2000, PEEC has a long history of providing quality environmental education to adults and children in Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico. PEEC serves over 30,000 adults and children per year with a nature center; school lessons and field trips; and classes, talks, hikes, and outings open to the public. All of our programming is driven by our mission of enriching people’s lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains and skies.
PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature center, which includes exhibits about local nature, a children's discovery area, wildlife observation garden, planetarium, and nature play area. You can read more about the nature center here.
