We are a portable school-based program made up of dental professionals and provide oral health care by bringing the services to children. Many parents are unable to take their children to the dentist due to job constraints. Additionally, in rural areas, private dentists and clinics may be located far distances from a parent’s work site and/or child’s school. Participa uses portable dental equipment in school settings to provide full preventive services for students. We provide comprehensive dental exams, diagnostic x-rays, dental cleanings, topical fluoride treatments and dental sealants for all children that return a parental consent form. We accept Medicaid and private insurances.
We provide comprehensive dental exams and dental sealants for all children that return a parental consent form, including uninsured children. A Department of Health Grant and a donation via Participa pays for the exam and sealants.
Participa!, Inc. Dental Services is a non-profit service organization whose mission is to increase access to dental services for New Mexico children. We are a portable school-based program staffed with dental professionals.
