The Talent Academy is a 4-month professional development program designed to boost nonprofit professionals' skills in competitive grantseeking. Topics covered include prospecting, application packages, reviews and scoring, budgeting, logic models, and more. Participants learn from field and area experts and gain hands-on experience within a supportive peer network.
Pivotal New Mexico helps build the capacity and economic impact of nonprofit businesses, schools, and government agencies by helping them learn about and access the funding necessary to do their work. This includes federal grants, national philanthropies, low-interest loans, social impact funds, and more so that nonprofit organizations are well-resourced and poised to deliver on their charitable and social missions. We work with organizations across sectors, including financial literacy, education, economic development, housing, health care, social services, and the arts. Many of these organizations work directly on alleviating poverty, provide for basic needs, and advocate for and create systems change that improve the lives of low- to moderate-income families. Our vision is that New Mexico’s nonprofit organizations will have the resources needed to dramatically improve the social, economic, and educational challenges in the state.
