In addition to the Summer Reading Program, other programs include:

Literary Series at Special Collections: speakers' series held at Special Collections branch library at Central Ave and Edith Blvd.
AMP Concert Series: nationally known musical groups, presented by AMP Concerts, offer free daytime performances at the branch libraries.
Dia de los Niños: a multi-cultural celebration of children and literacy, Dia de las Niños includes a variety of special events, including storytelling and music. Every child who attends can select a book to take home and keep.
