Rock and Rhythm is a team-based, non-competitive approach to music! RRYO combines rock band players (electric guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, vocals) with strings players (violin, viola, cello, upright bass) in an after-school music group for high school students based on the innovative and award-winning Rock and Rhythm Band program. Taught by Rock and Rhythm artistic director, Robb Janov.
The ROCK AND RHYTHM FOUNDATION is organized exclusively for charitable, artistic and educational purposes, more specifically to improve the quality of life of individuals and groups by providing educational and music opportunities. The goals of the Foundation and the Rock and Rhythm Project are to provide accessible and innovative music instruction and performance opportunities to students of all ages, regardless of experience, ability or socioeconomic status; to help music teachers discover new ways to inspire students by incorporating novel methodologies into new or existing music programs; and to provide music opportunities and instruments for students of limited financial means.
