The San Miguel County DWI Program provides the following services:
PREVENTION education, awareness and activities in local schools and throughout the community
County COMPLIANCE monitoring to those convicted of a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd DWI
Support ENFORCEMENT activities of local law enforcement (saturation patrols, checkpoints, underage drinking patrols)
Mandatory SCREENING and referral to substance abuse treatment for those convicted of a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd DWI
PLANNING, EVALUATION, and COORDINATION for a community-wide coordinated approach to preventing injuries and deaths associated with DWI
We also fund the FREE SAFE RIDE HOME, providing rides from liqour establishments in Las Vegas NM back home every Friday and Saturday night, from 8pm-2am. 505*429*0336 for a ride home.
