WHAT WE DO: Nurture -- We work to increase the share of goods and services supplied by stable, independent, locally-owned businesses. We provide training workshops, networking events, discount programs and other services to business owners, entrepreneurs and the workers. Advocate -- We influence public policy to support a locally-determined sustainable economy. We advocate at the local, state, and national level, and partner with other organizations to better represent all parts of the Santa Fe community. Promote -- We convene and educate the community to increase participation in the local economy. We build consumer groups and awareness campaigns in support of local businesses, sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. Programs -- Buy Local First; Farm to Restaurant Project; Northern NM Regional Food and Fuels Project; Green Jobs and Workforce Development Initiative; Membership Services include networking, outreach, business development workshops; We serve locally owned independent businesses, their employees, and the citizens of the greater Santa Fe area and surrounding rural communities.
