A Shine partnership is a long-term committed relationship between a church and a school with the goal of enriching student success, supporting teachers, and developing families. Shine has received support from APS administration and a formal memorandum of understanding (MOU). Together with APS, we assess priority needs each school is facing. We then seek a church in the community to partner with the school, support the school, and help meet the identified needs. Programs are then developed based on where the school’s needs and the church’s resources overlap. All church partners are trained by Shine and agree to use our model.
